OEM manufacturing

Reliable production from first sample to repeat order.

Pattern development, material selection, cutting, sewing and inspection all happen in one facility, so every run matches the specification you approved rather than a drawing somebody reinterpreted.

That is also why a change request comes back in days instead of across an ocean.

Made in Green Bay, Built in the USA

The floor

Manufacturing in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

You work directly with the people designing, sewing and shipping your product. No agency in the middle, and no overseas shipping cycle sitting between a change request and a corrected sample.

That is why a first article turns around in a few weeks, and why a design question gets answered by the person who will actually sew it.

View full capabilities
01

Pattern development and fit engineering

We pattern from the product rather than from a drawing, so the cover clears the handles, latches, hoses and protrusions a model often leaves out.

02

Material selection for UV, abrasion and weather

Heavy-duty fabrics up to 1680D, waterproof coated and solution-dyed options rated 4 to 5 for UV, and colorfast materials that will not dye-migrate onto the finish underneath.

03

Production-ready first articles

A validated sample built on real material and real equipment before a full run, so a scale-up does not turn into a redesign.

04

Hardware, fasteners and reinforcement

Reinforcement where people grab the cover and hardware rated for repeated cycling, because covers fail at the seams and the grab points long before the panel does.

05

Industrial and machine covers at scale

From pilot quantities of around 100 units through to orders of 100,000 and above, on the same tooling and the same specification.

06

Warehousing, kitting and logistics

Finished goods held, kitted and released against your schedule, so a production run does not become an inventory problem on your floor.

Custom Equipment Cover Questions, Answered

The questions OEMs and product manufacturers ask us most often before a first article. If yours is not here, ask it directly.

How long do heavy duty equipment covers last outdoors?

It depends far more on the fabric and its finish than on the stitching. Solution-dyed fabrics with a UV rating of 4 to 5 hold colour and water resistance through years of full sun, while standard coated polyesters cost less and give up UV resistance sooner. For abrasion and heavy handling we go up to 1680D.

The failure point is almost never the panel. It is the seams, the hardware, and anywhere the cover flaps in wind, which is why a close fit matters as much as the material does. Tell us where the product lives and how often it is handled, and we will spec to that rather than quote a lifespan that does not survive your environment.

What mil thickness do I need for heavy equipment covers?

Mil thickness is the common shorthand, but for a sewn cover it is the wrong single number to optimise. The figures that predict how a cover performs are fabric weight in ounces per square yard, the coating, and the tear and abrasion ratings.

A heavier fabric that cracks where it folds is worse than a lighter one engineered to be folded. We select by how the cover is actually used: shipped and stored, left outside year round, or taken on and off every day.

Are custom equipment covers for industrial machinery reusable?

Yes, and designing for reuse changes the build. A cover that goes on and off daily needs reinforcement where people grab it, hardware rated for repeated cycling, and a fit loose enough to be quick but tight enough not to flap.

Single-use protective covers for shipping are a different and cheaper product. Say which one you need at the start, because it drives material and cost more than the size of the product does.

Do you make covers for military and government equipment?

Yes. Generators, trailers, vehicles and field equipment all follow the same process: we pattern to the unit, specify the fabric for where it is deployed, and build a first article before the run.

If the program requires Berry Amendment compliant materials, tell us at the quote stage, because it determines how the fabric and hardware are sourced. More on our military contract sewing work.

What does a custom equipment cover cost?

There is no list price, because a cover is priced on the pattern, the material, the hardware and the run size rather than on dimensions alone.

The largest lever by far is quantity. The per-unit cost of a first article is not the per-unit cost at a few thousand, so a quote against a real run size is the only one worth having. Send us a product, a drawing or an existing cover and we will price against the actual thing.

What is the minimum order quantity for custom covers?

We run from pilot quantities of around 100 units through to orders of 100,000 and above.

Before a full run we build production-ready first articles, so the design is validated on real material and real equipment before you commit to volume. That step is what keeps a scale-up from turning into a redesign.

Can you build a cover without a CAD file?

Yes. A physical sample, an existing cover, a drawing, or photographs with key dimensions are all enough to start.

We pattern from the product itself wherever we can, which is often more accurate than modelling from a drawing, because it captures the handles, latches, hoses and protrusions that a cover actually has to clear.

Where are the covers manufactured?

In our own facility in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

You work directly with the people designing, sewing and shipping the product. That is the reason a change request is answered in days rather than across an overseas shipping cycle.
